Favourite Movies !

Bismillahirrahmannirrahim.
In the name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

yo.

again me is want to tell you about my favourite movies.

2 English Movies:

This is not the permanent english movies that I like.If there is any new good movies in the future,I will update this post. The only thing that I hate about english movies umm it is a must to have an 18-sx-scene in every single damn movies ughh it is so hard to find the one that really is suitable to watch with family.

1. Escape plan(2013).

Ray Breslin is a man who has devoted his life to making prisons inescapable by going into a prison as an inmate and trying to see if he can break out. And he has done a good job so far. A woman who says she works for the CIA approaches Ray and says that a new maximum security prison where the worst criminals are to be incarcerated, is about to be launched. So she wants him to go and make sure no one can get out. He agrees. So they make the necessary preps by telling Ray who the warden is and they give him a code that the warden will know that he's not a convict, and they plant him with a tracer. But when he's picked up, the ones who pick him up remove the tracer. When he arrives at the prison, he discovers that the warden is different from the one he was told and when he tells him the code, he claims that he doesn't know what he's talking about. He realizes that someone doesn't want him to get out. He then tries to find a way out but he needs help. Another prisoner, Rottmeyer becomes friendly with him. And they decide to work together to get out. But it won't be easy because Ray learns that they are on a ship.

Let me tell you this. This was one damn good movie that I've watched(for now).

2.Last Vegas(2013)

Four old friends head to Las Vegas to celebrate the sad fact that one of them is set to marry a trophy wife. Michael Douglas is the ageing stud; Robert De Niro is his long-standing romantic rival; Morgan Freeman is escaping the shackles of his loving family; and Kevin Kline must be thanking his agent for getting him on the same bill as all of them.
Look, there's nothing that happens in this pleasant, disposable, formulaic comedy that you can't see coming a mile off, especially when De Niro puts on his tough guy GoodFellas act. And the shenanigans they get up to wouldn't really put the strain a no-name brand pacemaker. They leer at some young girls in bikinis and drink a bit, throw a party, make some noise, face down some teens. It’s tepid carry-on, with the focus kept on the friction between Douglas and De Niro.
Rapper 50 Cent makes a nice cameo, and Entourage actor Jerry Ferrara (Turtle) chimes in with good support as a hoon-turned-lickspittle.

It was a good movie, funny for the majority and was worth seeing.I really love to watch any movies that related about friendship :D Enjoy !

2 Spanish Movies:

Well serious talk.I.Don't.Really.Watch.Spanish.Movies.Hmm but these two movies that I would like to give my opinion and synopsis are the only two that I've ever watched(maybe).

1.The Mask Of Zorro

With scenic 18th century Mexico as a backdrop, Anthony Hopkins plays the original Zorro, a.k.a. Don Diego de la Vega, intent on revenge after rival enemy Don Raphael Montero (Stuart Wilson) murdered his wife and took his daughter, Elena. After being imprisoned for 20 years, the fabled hero removes his mask and takes on a tarnished young apprentice, Alejandro Murieta (Antonio Banderas), to infiltrate Montero's plan to take control of California from Santa Anna. A boisterous outlaw with his own desire for revenge, Murieta works with Diego to avenge his brother's death by the sword of Montero's right-hand man, Captain Harrison Love (Matt Letscher, in his big screen debut). After Diego's extensive training in swordfighting, discipline and manners, a new Zorro appears wreaking vengeance and stealing the heart of a now-grown Elena.

The action part was quite good but when it comes to "romance" part hmm that is making me feel boooooringgg.Overall the movie was just great.

2.The Legend Of Zorro

It's 1850, and the people of California, eager to improve their difficult lot in life, have launched a campaign to become part of the United States. Don Alejandro de la Vega has become aware of a plot by moneyed Europeans to block the campaign for statehood through nefarious means, and it looks as if Alejandro's heroic alter ego, Zorro, may have to return to duty. However, Alejandro's wife, Elena, has grown weary of his secret life, and she demands that he choose between his family and his clandestine career as a champion of the people. This leads to a rift between Alejandro and Elena, and the couple separates, with Alejandro moving out while Elena continues to care for their son, Joaquin. A few months later, Alejandro finds that Elena is already being wooed by Armand, a suave French nobleman who wants her hand in marriage. However, Alejandro also learns that Armand is actually part of a plot to prevent California from attaining statehood by tampering with an upcoming election; meanwhile, there may be more to Elena's involvement with Armand than romantic courtship. Zorro must come to the rescue of the people of California and perhaps his beloved Elena as well before they both fall into dangerous hands.

This is the sequel movie to The Mask Of Zorro.I would love to rate this movie as 4-star movie.

2 Indonesian movies:

1.The Raid Redemption

This movie is about two brothers. The younger brother is on the good-side while the older brother is the one who rebels.
In Jakarta, Indonesia, Lieutenant Wahyu organizes the invasion of an apartment building that is the safe house of the powerful and cruel drug lord Tama and his gang. The SWAT team breaks in the building but one lookout sees and warns the gangsters and the police force is trapped on the seventh floor. They learn that Lt. Wahyu has not informed his superiors about the operation. Now the police officers have to fight with limited ammunition against the armed and dangerous gangsters. The younger brother does not even know that he is trapped at his older brother's gangsters crib.
When the two brother meets, they fight the boss of the gangsters and kill him.

Opinion

Well as mention above,I really love this kind of genre which indicates crime, action and brotherhood.
This is also a must watch movie if you are planning to watch with friends or with family that have no kids below 18-year-old .

2.Ayat-ayat cinta

Ayat Ayat Cinta is a beautifully portrayed Islamic love story a tale of a virtuous Muslim protagonist who overcomes all obstacles of life maintaining pure ideals.

Fahri bin Abdillah is a poor, intelligent student who wins a scholarship to complete his graduate degree at Egypt's esteemed Al Azhar University. Very disciplined and dedicated by nature, Fahri embraces his life in Cairo, completing his studies and translation of religious books with full enthusiasm, exactly according to pre-determined targets.
Only one goal is left unattempted: the pursuit of marriage.
For Fahri is innocent and pure, and doesn't believe in the concept of relationships prior to marriage. He is inarticulate and shy around women. All his life, only two women have been close to him his mother and grandmother.
Life changes drastically in Egypt for he suddenly finds himself surrounded by four beautiful, distinctly different women.
Maria Girgis, a shy, open-minded Coptic-Christian neighbor who is attracted to the teachings of the Holy Al Quran, finds herself falling in love with Fahri (a fact she only reveals to her diary).
Nurul, a student at Al Azhar like Fahri, is the Muslim daughter of a renowned Indonesian cleric. Fahri feels unworthy of her and thus ignores his feelings for her, leaving her confused and guessing.
Noura, an abused Egyptian neighbor, develops strong romantic feelings for Fahri, who in turn simply sympathizes with her situation. His romantic rejection destroys her and eventually leads to a false accusation of rape.
Aisha, a German Turkish student in Cairo haunts Fahri with her beautiful eyes. Following an incident on the metro where Fahri defends her against narrow minded bigoted Muslims, both immediately develop feelings for each other.
As the story unravels, the protagonist makes the audience face the daunting decisions he himself faces, and forces us to marvel at his undying loyalty to the true ideals of Islam as he ultimately makes the choice of a lifetime.

Although I am not really in love with this genre but this movie delivered its point clearly and nicely.A must watch to those young couple who poyo wants to get married at a very young age without knowing what are the responsibilities of the married.

2 Japanese Movies:

1.Battle Royale

The title is like a fantasy...
Or like a game...
As the film is childish...

But...

It revealed as one of the best classic japanese movie. Horror genre, lovey-dovey elements, student war styled storyline, and friendship based lessons. All these attribute made this killing story a likeable by most people.
Directed by Kinji Fukasaku. Main actors are Tatsuya Fujiwara as Shuya Nanahara, Aki Maeda as Norika Kagawa, and Taro Yamamoto as Shouga Kawada. The film released in year 2000 and is quite odd and doesn't have a HD resolution graphic.

And many said that the famous Hunger Games series was based on this story. Because the style was nearly the same... and Battler Royale's script was written in 1994 by Koushun Takami. And there's manga series but I can't find the details.

STORYLINE

Japanese middle school student Shuya Nanahara copes with life after his father's suicide. Meanwhile, schoolmate Noriko Nakagawa is the only student attending class 3-B. Their teacher, Kitano, resigns after being impulsively attacked by student Yoshitoki Kuninobu.
One year later, class 3-B takes a field trip, but they are gassed, fitted with electronic collars, and sent to a "briefing room" on a remote island. Kitano explains that the class has been chosen to participate in the annual Battle Royale as a result of the BR Act, which was passed after 800,000 students walked out of school. An oddly cheerful orientation video instructs the class they have three days to kill each other until only one remains. The explosive collars will kill any uncooperative students or those within daily "danger zones". Kitano kills a girl for whispering to her friends during the video. Kuninobu confronts Kitano and the teacher slashes him with a knife (in the back of leg - the same area Kuninobu attacked Kitano two years earlier) before detonating his collar. Each student is provided a bag of food and water, map of the island, compass, and a "weapon" ranging in efficacy from firearms to a paper fan.
The program's first six hours see twelve deaths, four by suicide. Brazen, mute transfer student Kazuo Kiriyama and sadistic classmate Mitsuko Souma soon become the most dangerous players, while another transfer student, Shogo Kawada, seems somewhat more merciful. Shuya promises Kuninobu to keep Noriko safe, because his friend Kuninobu secretly loved her. Other students have their own goals: Shinji Mimura and his friends plot to hack into the military's computer system and destroy their base; Hiroki Sugimura searches for his best friend Takako Chigusa and love interest Kayoko Kotohiki. Chigusa kills Kazushi Niida after he attempts to force himself on her, but she is then killed by Mitsuko. Shuya carries Noriko to a clinic after she collapses, where they encounter Kawada, who reveals that he won a previous Battle Royale at the cost of his girlfriend, Keiko, whose death he seeks to avenge. When Kiriyama attacks, Shuya entrusts Kawada to protect Noriko, and runs off as a distraction. He is saved by Sugimura, who is using a GPS tracking device to track the location of every student.
Shuya awakens bandaged by Yukie Utsumi in the island's lighthouse, where she fills him in on the past 14 hours. Five other girls on the school's cheerleading squad have also been hiding out in the building. Utsumi gathers the girls, but Yuko Sakaki sparks a bloody massacre by accidentally poisoning one of the other girls, and she is the only survivor. She apologises to Shuya before jumping from the top of the lighthouse. Shuya returns to Noriko and Kawada, and they set out to find Mimura's group.
Sugimura tracks Kotohiki to a small warehouse, but she panics and shoots him. Sugimura professes his love before dying. Kotohiki cries in despair, and is found and killed by Mitsuko. Watching from the rafters, Kiriyama then guns down and kills Mitsuko.

Of the seven students remaining, all except Kiriyama are attempting or willing to subvert the game. Mimura, Iijima, and Yutaka infiltrate the military's computer system as they prepare to destroy the perimeter using a truck rigged with explosives. However, they are found by Kiriyama, who kills them all, but Mimura manages to detonate the truck, blinding the killer. When Kawada, Noriko and Shuya arrive at the hackers' burning base, Kawada confronts and kills Kiriyama.

On the morning of the final day, Kawada, aware of the collars' internal microphones, takes Shuya and Noriko aside and fakes their death. Suspicious, Kitano ends the game and dismisses the troops, intent on personally killing the supposed victor. Kitano realizes that Kawada had hacked into the game's system months beforehand, and has now disabled Shuya and Noriko's tracking devices. The three survivors confront Kitano in the headquarters, and he unveils a disturbing homemade painting of the massacred class, depicting Noriko as sole survivor. He reveals that he was unable to bear the hatred between him and his students, having been rejected by his daughter, Shiori. He confesses that he always thought of Noriko as a daughter, and asks her to kill him, but is shot by Shuya after he threatens her with a gun. As he falls, Kitano shoots, revealing that it is a water-gun. Suddenly, his phone rings, and Kitano sits down to answer it, telling Shiori that "if you hate someone, you take the consequences" before shooting the phone with a real gun and finally dying. Shuya, Noriko and Kawada leave the island on a boat, but Kawada dies from injuries sustained in his gunfight with Kiriyama -- "glad" that in the end, he "found true friends."

The movie is statisfying... and yet.. interesting. If you had an interest from these:

Anti-adult
Classic semi-war
Horror love
Friendship
Japanese
Then you should watch Battle Royale =D. And as an addition, there got Battle Royale 2 also =P. And remember to buy the original film!!

2.Rurouni Kenshin

Rurouni Kenshin means The Wanderer Kenshin. The film was based on manga an anime of Samurai X by Nobuhiro Watsuki. However, commonly to all books-to-films movies, Rurouni Kenshin disappointing its fan by making a lot bunch of change in storyline. The film directed by Keishi Otomo with Takeru Sato and Emi Takei as main actors. STORYLINE

Storyline was based on Samurai X anime. But as mentioned above, many changes had been made and result in various thought. As for me myself, I have'nt watch any Samurai X before =P. All I can say is that this movie really made a conection between anime-otaku with a matured-action fan.

Here are SEVERAL OPINIONS as conclusion...

Good — The Adaptation

This live-action adaptation covers a mix of the first two story arcs of both the anime and manga. It deals with Kenshin fighting an opium dealer who is trying to carve out his own little kingdom in the heart of Tokyo and with a killer claiming to be Kenshin himself. The film also contains flashbacks to Kenshin’s past during the civil war and includes the story of how he got the first cut of his cross-shaped scar.

While Kenshin retains his outwardly clueless appearance — including his “Oro” catchphrase — from past versions of the story, much of the slapstick humour has been removed from the overall story, making for a more serious tone in the film. That’s not to say that there aren’t any great lighthearted/funny moments, but that overall, the story is treated with a large amount of “life-or-death” seriousness.
And as with most movies, there are a few minor changes in the adaptation — and one or two semi-major ones. But all of these changes help the movie to be a standalone film (as opposed to part of a greater series) and to give each character a complete story arc regardless of whether the manga/anime did or not.

Good — The Action
Right from the start Rurouni Kenshin shows its excellent direction and fight choreography. The fights are very fast and exciting, with both changing choreography and camera techniques used to keep the action consistently fresh and interesting.
Moreover, everything is done with practical effects — meaning there is no CG (except for the blood spray) in the entire movie. There is some amount of wirework, but unlike that in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, it is used for making the characters move incredibly fast or slide across the ground instead of making them fly — adding a bit of the spectacle without looking fake. This makes everything in the film seem far more real and entertaining than many recent CG fests.
Good — The Music
One of the most surprising things about Rurouni Kenshin was the music. While it would have been simple to reuse the music from the anime or create a stereotypical “Japanese” soundtrack heavy on the Japanese flute and the shamisen, the score instead sounded more like something out of Beserk — it matched well and made everything more dramatic and exciting.
Mixed — The Casting
The cast for Kenshin is amazing and the actors channel their characters expertly — from Kenshin and his “Oro” face to Sanosuke’s rough and tumble attitude. Yahiko does a great job in a semi-tough role for a child actor and the cast of villains — especially Kanryuu Takeda — are excellently over-the-top.
The only problem in casting is Emi Takei’s Kaoru. This is not because of her acting ability or how her character is portrayed in the plot — she does a spot-on Kaoru. Rather it is due to her look. Emi Takei is far too pretty for the part. Kaoru, as a character, isn’t supposed to be ugly, but she is supposed to be plain and somewhat strongly built for a Japanese woman. Megumi, in comparison to Kaoru, is supposed to be a bombshell. Yet despite Megumi’s actress being quite pretty in her own right, Emi Takei is even more beautiful. So while Kaoru is treated as the underdog beauty-wise in the film, she is anything but. It’s not terrible, but it does stand out as a case of miscasting.
Final Thoughts

Going into the film I was expecting a mediocre, cheesy retelling of the Kenshin story, suitable only for diehard fans of the series. But Rurouni Kenshin completely blew away my meager expectations. It was not only a good adaptation but also a good movie in its own right. The sword fighting is amazing, the directing is brilliant, the casting nearly perfect, and the story is told correctly for its new, two-hour format. .

Enjoy reading =D.

2 Korean Movies

1. 71 Into Fire (The best way to read history)

During the Korean War, 71 student soldiers held back the North Korean Army for 11 hours, holding their ground at a girls’ middle school. Forty-eight of them died.
The school itself wasn’t that significant. The student soldiers mainly were placed there as speed bumps to slow down the North Korean army. Nobody expected them to last long- they might gain the regular army holding the Nakdong River frontier a couple of hours at best. These “speed bumps,” however, turned out to be young men with tenacious wills and remarkable courage, who by sheer heart and desperate acts of courageous will turned two hours into eleven.

MOVIE BACKGROUND
DIRECTOR - JAE HAN LEE
ACTOR - CHOI SEUNG-HYUN, KIM SEUNG-WOO, KWAN SANG-WOO, CHA SEUNG-WON
YEAR RELEASED - 2010
GENRE - WAR, HISTORY-BASED, FRIENDSHIP, KOREAN

71 is, obviously, a war movie. It begins and ends in war scenes, and there are only one or two flashback scenes to incidents outside of war – mainly to when Oh Jeung Beum’s mother saw him off to war. If you are a mom, might be a mom, or have a mom, bring your hanky. Those scenes hurt my heart, especially when I thought of how I would feel to be in that mother’s shoes with my own son, who will be 17 in 2 1/3 all too short years.

This was very well done, although it isn’t a movie I want to watch twice. That’s not because the movie is flawed. It’s because I don’t really do war movies that don’t turn war into a lighthearted and fun fictional adventure story, and I don’t watch movies for the purpose of wringing my heart. This is one I’d let my son watch, even encourage him to watch. It’s not a chick flick by any stretch. It’s not just a feel pumped up testosterone loaded action flick, either. It’s bloody, violent, and harsh without being gratuitously so. It’s respectful and honors the memory of those brave young men without making war seem like nothing more than one great and grand adventure. This movie manages to show war as the mess it is without making a mockery of the courage and sacrifices these student soldiers showed. That’s a very delicate balance and it’s tough to do. In case I haven’t made it clear, this is a tear-jerker- in fact, I read somewhere that in a screening of the film, even one of the main actors cried when his character died. As our regular readers know, I almost never review tear-jerkers, but this one is just incredibly well done and so sensitive in tone that I think even those of us who don’t do tj movies could benefit from watching it at least once.

OPINION

First of all, thank God there were subtitles –even the song numbers because although I greatly admire the cinematography, locations and camera angles included, I would not enjoy the movie as much as I did when there were no subtitles because 90% of what makes 3 Idiots so great were within the dialogues.

Second, I saw another face of India. As I said before, I’ve never watched any Indian movie before and the videos that I have watched of India portrayed the country as a land of squatters, poverty and squalor, dirt and overpopulation. Go figure. So I was pleasantly surprised at those spectacular places and sceneries that the movie featured. I actually Googled that lake in the end and the locations where they filmed because one day I would visit them.

Third, the actors. OH MY GOD. They were brilliant. Super-duper brilliant and super funny without even trying. Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi - the three idiots - delivered flawlessly. I was not disappointed with their portrayals at all. But to me the one who's at the pinnacle of funny was Omi Vaidya... Silencer, I salute you for the last part of your speech:

A loud fart is respectable... A medium fart is tolerable... A slight fart is fearful... A silent fart is unbearable...!
kahkahkah ! You have to watch the movie to hear the speech in its entirety.Last: It is not just comedy. The story was well developed but for all the laughter-inducing speeches and scenes, 3 Idiots did have a message that was the very core of the movie:
"Pursue excellence, and success will follow, pants down!"
While the movie was centered around the stories of college students, the message that the movie was trying to convey could be taken to heart by almost everyone, in all walks of life. The movie ran for almost three hours but you know what? I didn't care. I absolutely loved it and I would watch it over and over again. Aal izz well.

2.Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Yashvardhan decides to meet with the Sharma family, and finds out that they are middle-classed, unsophisticated, and will not be able to it into his family circle, as a result he refuses to permit Rahul to marry Anjali. A defiant Rahul decides to leave, gets married to Anjali, without his foster parents blessings, and re-locates to London, England, where Anjali's unmarried sister, Pooja, also lives. Opinion

This was one sad movie.I watched it for the first time when I was still in secondary school and to be honest,I cried.
This is a must watch movie if youre searching for good hindustanis movies.

2 Malay Movies

1.Juvana

First of, I would like to highlight that I'm a fan of Crime Dramas and it will have a huge effect in this review. Crime films, the good ones, highlights the hardships of criminals. It doesn't highlights the explosive actions. I'm not fond of those straight forward action flicks.

I would like compare this film with another local Crime film that has been a sensation in this country, which is KL Gangsters, in order to emphasize my point. I hate KL Gangsters. The actions didn't impress me nor did the script. I don't think criminals from the bad side of neighborhood would have any knowledge of martial arts, specifically Muay Thai. At least, not all of them! The dialogue--oh my god, the dialogue! It was just so bad and disgusting! "Lu jangan kencing sama wa!" (You don't pee on me) Seriously?! I understand that it was a portrayal of what Malaysians gangsters really sound like but with all honesty, put some vocabulary and intelligence in it for god's sake. Crime Dramas often highlight smart men with greed or just bad history not idiots with money! (You can see now how much the genre effects the review) Lastly, it is very stereotypical. The 'gangsters' are smoking almost all the freaking time!

So, with that being said. I would gladly state that Juvana is nothing like that. It is a pleasure to finally watch a good local film in a long while. It avoids the painful habit of local writers playing it safe by writing cliche' plots. This film had it's own ambition of selling itself for the sake of the story and not money. Even films like Merong and Cicakman still dare not to try something new and bold with the script; as if the phrase "We're playing it safe with the script" is pasted on the freaking poster.

For the acting, I can't complain anything. They did a splendid job. It's funny how Sharnaaz is praised for his performance as Lan Todak; the antagonist of the story. Don't get me wrong, he did a good job but, to me, the character was too forced. This is not something you'd point your finger to the actors. No, this is the writer's responsibility. Again, good Crime Drama films center real men with real problem; having a psychopath with not much decent background story ruins the realism in the genre. Lan Todak, although gruesome, doesn't fit much if you're trying to make a good crime drama. But hey, this genre isn't exactly a huge hit with the general audience and I understand if they're trying to reach to everyone as an audience. And personally, I am not digging Adlin Aman Ramlie being ignored for his performance! Dude, I was excited when I heard he was in this flick! He's a good actor and plus, I just knew he'd be perfect for this role. Him being the disciplinary guy (I don't know the name of the occupation) was just bad ass. With his face, I just knew he's going to be a huge pain for shouting at the juvenile delinquents. But instead he was a tough lover; teaches the delinquents with some hard labor which was still good.

Another aspect of the film I'd like to highlight is the action. Sometimes, it's not the choreographed action but a simple trigger that could make a memorable scene. That's one of the best traits of Crime Dramas. In this film, it is choreographed in a way that's not much of a martial arts flick. It still relied on typical fight scenes. It didn't did it's best to make that one awesome and shocking murder scene. It did had one scene but it wasn't strong enough.
